Once you’ve loaded TRITON you’ll see its initial Easy display. Copy protection is by way of a product code/serial number. It isn’t currently compatible with Pro Tools, but operation has been confirmed with Ableton Live 10, Logic Pro X, GarageBand 10, Cubase Pro 10, Digital Performer 10, Studio One 4.5, FL Studio 20, Reason 11 and Cakewalk by Bandlab. It is 64-bit only (32-bit not supported) in VST, AU, AAX and standalone formats. For the PC you’ll need Windows 10 64-bit and for the Mac OS X 10.12 (or higher). To install it you’ll need an Intel i5 CPU (Intel i7 or higher is recommended), 6+ GB RAM and 8 GB of free disk space. Just one of those expansions, EXB-PCM06/07, contains data for 256 programs/combinations and 193 multisamples selected from Peter Slediaczek’s Advanced Orchestra by the Best Service Corporation. Also included in this release is all of the expansion library EXB-PCM cards. It has 4,000+ sound programs and 307 dual arpeggiator patterns. Now twenty years after the original was released, KORG has reproduced it in an easy to use plugin form. TRITON’s original engineers helped supervise the development of this new software version of the powerful workstation/sampler. It also had two filter types, five insert and two master effects (with a choice of 102 effects types for those inserts and master FX), as well as a master EQ. The original KORG TRITON had eight-part multi-timbral functionality and used quality PCM samples which were sampled at 48kHz. At the end of last year they released their latest product the KORG Collection TRITON. They updated the collection in 2018 by adding an emulation of the Arp Odyssey. It is comprised of several software versions of their own hardware synths. One of their most popular music software products is the Korg Legacy Collection. Besides their great hardware synths, they have also forged ahead into the software world. Korg is the music software and hardware company that has been creating high quality and innovative products ever since 1963. A powerful workstation rises again and brings with it a quality blast from the past.
